Ideation

Early on, we identified an opportunity to create a solution that would integrate with the house's existing FTX system. We explored ideas for wall- or ceiling-mounted devices that would facilitate air circulation between rooms, simultaneously cleaning the air. We eventually decided on the wall mounted solution.

To bring our concept to life, we first created a low-fidelity (lo-fi) prototype. This initial model helped us understand the scale and proportions before advancing to the final prototype.

High-Fidelity Prototype

To present our final solution, we 3D-printed a high-fidelity prototype. To enable interaction with the product in its intended context, we constructed a section of wall where the product was mounted.

Additionally, we developed a digital prototype for an application. To simulate the smart panels that Innovative Living currently uses in their houses, we devised a method to integrate an iPad into our wall segment, displaying the digital prototype.

Final Result

Aerolink is a wall-mounted air purifier equipped with pre-filters, HEPA filters, carbon filters, and UV lights to ensure truly clean air. It transports and purifies the air between rooms in your house, thereby increasing your air changes per hour and guaranteeing clean and habitable air.
